Still Life For a Change

I like to make drawings of people I come into contact with everyday

For The Babies

Well I must admit that I have no personal relation with this particular baby. The mother used to be a colleague of a friend and she asked me to do the drawing for her and I just couldn't say no.

Had to draw this from a reference photo. It was basically a picture of the baby laying down on what seemed like a flat pillow with some decorations which I choose to use as my background

Also choose to use a pink crayon for the baby's binnie and dress to make would be a grey scale drawing with a dash of color on it

And the results I got to say,

Tattoos are priced based on color and size

There are Small Tattoo designs, Medium and Large.

There are also designs that work best for both Small and Medium Tattoos, as well as those that work for Medium and Large Tattoos.

Tattoos worth R1000.00 and more are done on appointment and an appointment fee is applicable, and will not be refunded, unless the session is missed by fault of the artist, but it will be calculated into the final price of the tattoo should the session go on.

Small Tattoo designs are measured at an area of 25cm², 5cm×5cm. Anything smaller than that is priced the same as a 25cm² tattoo. All Tattoos bigger than 25cm² will be charged per cm^2.

Solid Blacks             : R6.00/cm2

        Greys                  : R10.00/cm²

       Colors                  : R13.00/cm²

Appointment Fee      : Half the Tattoo total Price

Some Large Tattoos may be completed in multi sessions. Payment for such tattoos will be collected per session

My Head Looks Like This Inside

Incomparable Bond

It's nothing new yet with every Bond, there's something magically new.

Some of us grew up in homes with this picture in them.

And to me it always symbolized the ultimate expression of life. You know, one cell carried down from one generation to the next.

Every parent has that hope and faith that something major will be realized some years later, through, their child. Well maybe not all but most right

And this is why we love them kids some much that we develop this simplest of bonds can never compared with any other thing earthly

Toying with Ideas!!!

I like putting things where they don't belong, for fun's sake, experimenting. That is the process right? To see what comes out at the end?

Did this for a client, who happens to be a close friend. Not to take any attention away from him but looking at the background... It was an idea from another close friend who happens to have the same name as me:). I dig those half images on the background... A car that looks as though it's vanishing into nowhere or, another dimension if you will. And this is the case with every little image on the background. So it gave me an idea... What I'd call, The Incomplete Collection.

I like my page dirty... Bodiless face emerging from space.

So I did a rough sketch, though it's really rough hahaha. I wanted to test this Incomplete idea I have. And yes I realise that I have to work twice as hard to be half as good as Zapiro, so you don't have mind the mess on my pages:). You'll be seing more from the Incomplete collection

Everytime I look at Lihle's picture with her baby boy, I can actually feel the love between them. The way she hold him, the way she squeezes him, and the way she so filled with joy around her son. Makes me feel like I'm ready to have one myself... With a woman that'll love my kid in that manner, or a maybe just a little more.

Working With Wire: The Wire King

So this is the guy I went to school with... From 1st grade primary all the way to matric. KB, Kabelo the Wire King... Well I admit, King is his birth name, it's not about his talent to bend wire in amazing ways to cre-art those eye catching prototypes.

From kid goodies like bicycles, cars, and more, to those pretty you can use for decoration in the house like, stands( fruit and Verge, pots), to laundry baskets to this amazing tree you see on this post. And it's all wire, and some times iron plates. But this guy a genius with wire.

And for that reason, we call him in my hood, The Wire King
